God is Revealed as We Gather
*Responsive Call to Worship from UCC Worship Ways
To take the clay of our lives, and shape disciples:
God calls us to the Potter’s House
To receive and mend those who are broken from life experiences:
God calls us to the Potter’s House
To love and heal those who are wounded from war and violence:
God calls us to the Potter’s House
To shelter all who are outcast and heavily burdened:
God calls us to the Potter’s House
Let us enter this place of transformation:
And worship our God!
*Opening Hymn “I Sing the Mighty Power of God” (#12)
Unison Prayer of Confession
Boundless Shaper of people and nations, you are beyond our knowing, yet closer to us than our every breath. You are before us and behind us, surrounding us with your love, and fashioning all of creation in the secret depths
of your heart. Yet so often we run from you, but wherever we go, you are there. With every thought, with every song, with every prayer, and with every act turn these fragile, earthen vessels of our lives into embodiments of justice and love.
