Fellowship Time
After the service, we will have Fellowship Time in a Zoom video conference. Details for joining will be shared via email and at the end of the live stream.
The Building is Closed and the Church is Open
While we have restricted access to the building, Peace Church is very much open to ministry—working to respond to our own congregation, as well as the needs of our neighbors and community. Please consider giving either to Peace Church general fund or the Gabriel Fund – which is used to meet the needs in the community.
We recognize that in this time, people’s financial situations may have changed. We ask you to prayerfully consider what you can give. If you use electronic giving, we thank you for your constancy of support. If you would like to give through our online form, we would be grateful. For all the contributions from our members and friends—whether financial, time, or prayer—we ask God’s blessings on those gifts that Peace Church may be healing balm in this time when we are living in our own Gilead.

God is Revealed as We Gather
*Responsive Call to Worship
Children of God, we have been given the gift of a new day:
Unlived, untried, ready to be opened.
A new day with surprising miracles:
love to be given, kindness to be shared, reconciliation to offer, and peace to be enjoyed.
We receive the gift of a new day, God’s gift to us. Let us worship the God whose mercy is new every morning.
We lift our hearts to God this day.
*Opening Hymn “When Morning Gilds the Skies” (#86)
Unison Prayer of Confession ~ Dr. Tom Cheatham
O God, still creating, we hear your promises of a new day of joy and peace, and we are skeptical. We expect things to go on the same as they always have, from bad to worse. The past will keep us guilty, the future will make us afraid, and the present will burden us with too little time and too much to do.
Forgive our lack of faith, our quickness to believe that you do not hear us, and our pessimism about tomorrow. Do a new thing in our hearts and let us be glad and rejoice in your abundant care; through Christ we pray. Amen.

Hymn “I Will”
I will lift you up; stranger, I will lift you up.
I will lift you up; neighbor, I will lift you up.
I will hold your hand; children, I will hold your hand.
I will hold your hand; elders, I will hold your hand.
I will walk with you; hurting one, I’ll walk with you.
I will walk with you; joyful one, I’ll walk with you.
I will lift you up; stranger, I will lift you up.
I will lift you up; neighbor, I will lift you up.
Celebration of the Four-Way Covenant with Rev. Sara Olson Dean
God of Grace: We give you thanks for this ministry that we share. We pray that you help us to be faithful partners in the covenant we celebrate this day. We ask for wisdom, strength, and compassion for Sara as she serves at St. Mary’s, and we pray for all ministers who serve beyond the walls of the church, sharing God’s love in diverse ways. We thank you for calling each of us into lives of compassion and service. In your name we pray.
Amen.
