Fellowship Time

After the service, we will have Fellowship Time in a Zoom video conference.  Details for joining will be shared via email and at the end of the live stream.

The Building is Closed and the Church is Open

While we have restricted access to the building, Peace Church is very much open to ministryworking to respond to our own congregation, as well as the needs of our neighbors and community.  Please consider giving either to Peace Church general fund or the Gabriel Fund – which is used to meet the needs in the community.

We recognize that in this time, people’s financial situations may have changed. We ask you to prayerfully consider what you can give.  If you use electronic giving, we thank you for your constancy of support.  If you would like to give through our online form, we would be grateful. For all the contributions from our members and friendswhether financial, time, or prayerwe ask God’s blessings on those gifts that Peace Church may be healing balm in this time when we are living in our own Gilead.

God is Revealed as We Gather

Choral Call to Worship    “Prayer Song”    (#27 P&W Songbook)

*Responsive Call to Worship adapted from Thom Shuman
In the prayers and the praise, in the word and the wonder:
we are given enough joy to live each day.
In the justice for the oppressed, in the unexpected generosity of God:
we are given enough compassion to use in service each day.
In the promises made to all, in the mercy offered to each:
we are given enough grace to share each day.

*Opening Hymn    “All Who Hunger, Gather Gladly”    (insert)

Unison Prayer of Confession     adapted from Thom Shuman

Forgive us, Presence of Peace. Instead of grumblers, may we be ambassadors of your grace. Instead of continual complaining, may we carry compassion to all those who are hurting. Instead of whiners, may we be workers for justice. Help us to love you and our neighbors, one day, each day, for you provide us with the will and way. We pray all this in Jesus’ name.  Amen.
