Fellowship Time

After the service, we will have Fellowship Time in a Zoom video conference.  Details for joining will be shared via email and at the end of the live stream.

The Building is Closed and the Church is Open

While we have restricted access to the building, Peace Church is very much open to ministryworking to respond to our own congregation, as well as the needs of our neighbors and community.  Please consider giving either to Peace Church general fund or the Gabriel Fund – which is used to meet the needs in the community.

We recognize that in this time, people’s financial situations may have changed. We ask you to prayerfully consider what you can give.  If you use electronic giving, we thank you for your constancy of support.  If you would like to give through our online form, we would be grateful. For all the contributions from our members and friendswhether financial, time, or prayerwe ask God’s blessings on those gifts that Peace Church may be healing balm in this time when we are living in our own Gilead.

God is Revealed as We Gather

Responsive Call to Worship

Awaken! This new day reveals itself, a day of new possibilities. Come, let us give thanks.
We give thanks to you, O God for one more day to experience the miracle of being alive
With every breath we remember that life is a gift, and we give thanks.
With every step we know the wonder of walking on your Earth, and we give thanks.
With every word we affirm God’s transforming love for each and every one of us, and we give thanks.
Holy One, through you all things are made new.

Opening Hymn    “Touch the Earth Lightly”    (#569)

Responsive Prayer of Confession    from General Synod 30

Gathered here on this Holy Ground, the Psalmist reminds us that:
The earth is the Creator’s, and everything in it—this world and all who live in it.
We confess that many who have come before us misrepresented Holy Scripture in order to dispossess indigenous inhabitants of their homes and sovereignty; claimed divine authority to take these lands; and used treaties as tools of imperial exploitation.  They forgot, but we must remember:
The earth is the Creator’s, and everything in it—this world and all who live in it.
We confess that as present-day residents of our precious Mother Earth, we have not been faithful stewards of her care nor of the circle of life and all our relations, human and non-human. All Creation calls us to remember:
The earth is the Creator’s, and everything in it— this world and all who live in it.
