The Building is Closed and the Church is Open

While we have restricted access to the building, Peace Church is very much open to ministryworking to respond to our own congregation, as well as the needs of our neighbors and community.  Please consider giving either to Peace Church general fund or the Gabriel Fund – which is used to meet the needs in the community.

We recognize that in this time, people’s financial situations may have changed. We ask you to prayerfully consider what you can give.  If you use electronic giving, we thank you for your constancy of support.  If you would like to give through our online form, we would be grateful. For all the contributions from our members and friendswhether financial, time, or prayerwe ask God’s blessings on those gifts that Peace Church may be healing balm in this time when we are living in our own Gilead.

Call to Worship            Cathy Ameel & Susan Larson Kidd

*Responsive Call to Worship
Leader:   God of relationship and interconnected community—
People:   We celebrate the diverse beauty of creation from the shining stars to the cry of a newborn.
Leader:   Holy Spirit, Great Connector—
People:   Fill us with seeds of hope so we might grow into a garden of wondrously complex people.
Leader:   Loving Christ, Compassionate Redeemer—
People:   Give us renewed hearts that we may sing with a uniting voice as we worship.

Opening Hymn   “Holy, Holy, Holy”   (#277)

Unison Prayer of Confession
Loving God, we confess that we as a people we do not always live fully into our vision of beloved community.  We can sometimes get stuck behind the walls of our own perspectives, keeping us from listening to the wisdom of others.  We allow distrust to linger and at times neglect the healing work of rebuilding in relationship. Forgive us when we lose sight of your call to be a people of love and transformation.  Renew us with open, curious hearts so that we might start again and truly believe that we can live into the fullness of loving community.
