God is Revealed as We Gather

*Responsive Call to Worship  (from UCC Worship Ways)

Holy seekers whom God loves, come to receive your goodly heritage. Here among our gathered people,
take refuge in the Divine.
We come to know the presence of a loving God.
We are here to be shown the path of life.
Let us sing and bless the One who gives us counsel.
Let us together celebrate the ways of the Holy God.

*Opening Hymn “Come Forth, O Love Divine”   (#289)

Responsive Prayer of Confession (UCCP Surigao District Conf.)

Pieces, pieces, a world in pieces, a life in pieces.
We want to live in new times, creator God. We want to see flourishing signs of hope that we may put the pieces together and build a better world. We cry out for the Spirit of your peace, so that from the four corners of the earth the breath of new life may caress all beings.
May a new wind blow to fill us with strength so that the pieces may become one body, the world’s body, the people’s body, through our united action.
You created us as one and that is how you want us to be. May it be so.
