The Building is Closed and the Church is Open
While we have restricted access to the building, Peace Church is very much open to ministry—working to respond to our own congregation, as well as the needs of our neighbors and community. Please consider giving either to Peace Church general fund or the Gabriel Fund – which is used to meet the needs in the community.
We recognize that in this time, people’s financial situations may have changed. We ask you to prayerfully consider what you can give. If you use electronic giving, we thank you for your constancy of support. If you would like to give through our online form, we would be grateful. For all the contributions from our members and friends—whether financial, time, or prayer—we ask God’s blessings on those gifts that Peace Church may be healing balm in this time when we are living in our own Gilead.

God is Revealed as We Gather
Responsive Call to Worship
The Spirit of God weaves the universe.
The Spirit of God hovers over this world.
God is in our beginnings and in our endings. God is in each moment of our lives whispering, “Do not be afraid!”
Let us join in worshiping the One who banishes fear, offers us hope and invites us to step out in faith.
Opening Hymn “Standing On the Promises” (#33 P&W Songbook)
Unison Prayer of Confession adapted from Thom Schuman
In truth, God of silence and seas, we are more adept at making waves than calming storms. We find it easier to push people out of the boat, rather than make room for those who are different from us. And our lives are such a whirlwind of activity, that we do not notice your presence or hear your sheer silence singing your peace to us.
Have mercy on us, God of patience. Grab hold of us to keep us from drowning in our oceans of temptations. Give us the words to speak of your hope to others. Fill our hearts with your peace, which is nearer to us than we dare to imagine.
