Prayers Around the Cradle – Wednesdays in December, beginning December 4 at 7:00pm in the Sanctuary. This meditative worship includes quiet singing, silence, prayer and the lighting of candles— time for reflection and prayer as we journey toward Christmas.

Children’s Christmas Pageant – Sunday, December 15 at 10:30 service
“The Special Star” This year’s pageant will be the story of a certain birth in Bethlehem from the viewpoint of a very special little star who wonders when it will be able to shine bright and light the world with JOY. There will be some traditional Christmas songs for us all to join in on and after the pageant there will be Birthday cake for the newborn baby Jesus in the Fellowship Hall.

Choir Cantata – Sunday December 22 at the 10:30 Service
Handel’s Messiah! Please come to this year’s choir cantata to hear Handel’s masterpiece “Messiah” with soloists, full chorus, and orchestra. Many musical special treats throughout the service from exceptional musicians.

Solstice Celebration – Saturday, December 21 at 6 pm   Let’s share the longest night of the year together! We’ll have a fire, and roast hotdogs (turkey and vegan); we’ll sing, eat lots of chocolate and watch the Solstice episode from Northern Exposure.


Christmas Eve Worship – December 24 at 4pm and 10pm
The 4pm service will have a hymn sing starting at 3:30pm. This service includes a story for all ages, a drama, “Modestita’s Gift” led by our middle school youth and special music by Eva Reistad, our youth and Rachel Peterson. We will end in candle light and “Silent Night” played by the Hanka family.  The 10pm service will have anthems by our senior choir, brass accompaniment, special music by Maddie and Tim Carpenter and a homily by Pastor Kathy.  This service will end in candlelight and the singing of Silent Night. Christmas Eve Supper – 5pm in the Fellowship Hall  Join us for a Christmas Eve supper of soup, salad, and Christmas cookies following the 4pm service. This is a great time to gather with others who may be alone or whose families are far away!  Sign up outside the office if you can help by bringing bread, salad, soup or cookies. All are Welcome!
