*Responsive Call to Worship
Grace to you all and peace from God,
Who is, and was, and is to come.
We give praise and thanksgiving for the lives of all the saints who have gone before us.
We give thanks for the lives of the saints that we have known and those known only to God.
We too are part of the community of saints.
May our worship together bless us and give us strength to live the way of Jesus.
*Opening Hymn “For All the Saints” (#299)
Responsive Prayer of Confession
Patient, Forgiving Spirit, we come seeking your presence.
We hold on to ancient angers and hurts, and refuse to believe that you alone can make all things new.
Like Mary and Martha, we have forgotten your promises of new life.
Like the crowd that mourned for Lazarus, we have lost hope.
Forgive our lack of faith, O God.
Bring us back, and restore our trust in you.

Words of Welcome
How good and right it is to praise you,
O God who gathers us around this Table!
You open your mouth and creation’s glory springs forth;
You appoint the stars to glitter in the night;
You establish the waters to nourish the earth.
You shape us in your image, calling us to be your children,
to live with you in peace and joy.
We join our voices with those who await us in heaven, as well as those here on earth, forever singing your praises:
Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of parables and peace. All creation sings of your glory. Hosanna in the highest.
Words of Remembrance
We remember on how on the night before his death Jesus gathered with those he loved to share one last meal with them. He took bread, blessed and broke it, and shared it with them, saying this is my body broken for you. In the same way after the supper he took the cup, saying this is my life poured out for all.
Prayer of Consecration
At this Table of Gentleness pour out your Spirit upon the cup and the bread, and on the people you have gathered here. We open our hands for that Bread which, broken, can make us whole once more, that we might offer our lives for others.
As we would encourage others who are searching for your presence in their lives, we drink of the Spirit of Love, that we might serve you and all people.
Sharing the Bread and the Cup
Prayer of Thanksgiving
Holy God, nurtured and refreshed, we welcome all those you send our way, may we listen to their souls even as we tell our stories. And when we are all gathered together in your realm, we will praise you forever and ever. Amen.
