*Responsive Call to Worship
Come, people of God, to know again who you are and
whose you are.
We come as children of God, longing for a closer walk with the one who gives us life.
Come, all who are thirsty for living water. Open yourselves
to the one who supplies it.
We drink this day from the well of community worship filled with singing, dance, prayer and stories.
God meets us here, loves us and transforms us as individuals and as a community of faith.
Let us worship with enthusiastic expectation, anticipating God’s grace in our life together.
*Opening Hymn “Come, O Fount of Every Blessing” (#459)
Unison Prayer of Confession
We thirst for water, Holy One, until our parched souls murmur against one another. Fountain of life, forgive us and soothe our spirits. Let us draw from your water, that we shall never again have to drink from the shallow well whose waters are bitter.
