God is Revealed as We Gather
*Responsive Call to Worship (from Worship Ways)
Come, all you whose souls thirst for the living God.
We come in search of help and hope.
Come, you who are acquainted with grief or oppression.
We come bearing our doubts, our wounds, and our fears.
Come, you who are in need of good news.
We come in search of joy, truth, and light.
Come, and find refuge in God your rock.
Let us again praise the One who is our help and our hope.
*Opening Hymn “Out of the Depths, O God, We Call” (#554)
Unison Prayer Rev. Mantu Joshi
God of Straight and Queer,of Muslim and Christian, of the Right and of the Left; God of all our nations and ALL the world, please right the music. Wherever bigotry is played, wherever hatred is given stage, we ask for your love and heart to claim solo and beckon all to your light.
Bring us together, bring us into understanding, and release our fear of one another. Let your redeeming love hit this violent chaos, much as the sun confronts even the most brutal storms, and lead us all to rainbow living. In the name of the Redeemer and the Rainbow Maker.
