*Responsive Call to Worship adapted from Thom Shuman
We are people who have been called to follow where God leads us.
By faith we can obey, even when asked to walk into an unknown future.
We are people who have been challenged to tell God’s story to others.
By faith we have the ability to share the good news.
We are God’s children who are invited to feast at the Table of grace.
By faith we invite our sisters and brothers to join us.
*Opening Hymn “I Love to Tell the Story”
Responsive Prayer of Confession adapted from Sheri Brown
We bring our fears and doubts to this place today,
grateful for a God who keeps knocking to come in,
and who keeps inviting us to come out,
to look toward heaven and count the stars of hope.
In our confession, we pray together:
Most Merciful God…we confess that fear can take charge of our life, and that doubt can batter our belief. We can feel like a fraud to faith and a stranger to hope. Hurry, Lord, come while our hearts are broken wide open.
