*Responsive Call to Worship
We walk on a road with heads down, immersed in our own sorrow,
May we open our eyes to see the companions in our midst.
Our journeys seems long, our despair at times seems even longer.
May we take time to stop and listen and hear the good news of your love.
We too often require proof that we can see with our eyes or touch with our hands.
Help our hearts to burn, rejoicing with the miracles of Easter happening every day.
*Opening Hymn “Joy Dawned Again on Easter Day” (#241)
Unison Prayer of Confession
Most merciful God, we have sinned against you in thought, word and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart. We have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. Have mercy on us. Forgive us, renew us and lead us, so that we may delight in your will and follow in your way. Amen.
