Steady progress is being made and multiple teams are at work planning and stitching all over the city and area surrounding. I am so grateful for all the work being done and am amazed at the completed quilts starting to come in ……..”Show and Tell” is happening each work night and to date we have 12 absolutely done!
News from CHUM is that folks will not start moving into the apartments until December or even January so the pressure is off a bit, but we cannot stop yet in our plan to provide a warm welcome to our new neighbors.
Upcoming quilting dates are as follows:
- Monday, September 8, 6:30 pm at Peace Church ….. Hoping to do lots of tying and binding.
- Thursday, September 11, 6:30 pm at French River
- Thursday, September 25, 6:30 pm at French River
- Saturday, October 11, 9 am to 4 pm at Peace Church (come at any time and stay for whatever period do time you are able) I will make a pot of soup or chili for lunch.
We have an angel who is buying us a new ironing board and pad, but we are still in need Of backing fabric and cotton crochet yarn.
Bring scissors and your favorite needle when you come….. And a sewing machine if you are able!
