October 2 – Life House – Maude Dornfeld
Life House provides for virtually every need of young people who have been left to fend for themselves on the streets. They accomplish this through five programs to address the unique needs of each of the youth who come to the Life House: the Youth Drop‐In Center, Mental Health & Wellness, Housing, Future Education & Employment, and Safe Harbor. More importantly, however, Life House provides a place of acceptance, safety, and belonging where youth can reclaim a positive, healthy and hopeful future.
Maude Dornfeld, the executive director, joined Life House in 2013 with more than 20 years’ experience in the nonprofit sector and market research. She holds an MA in Sociology from the University of Minnesota, with a focus on domestic violence, sex offenders and juvenile delinquency.
