What is Peace Puppets?
|
| Peaceful Puppets is a newly created program here at
Peace! The purpose of the puppet theater is to engage 4th and 5th
graders in a unique activity using performances in ministry. Kids
will create puppets and backdrops, use bible stories and topics of
particular concern to children, and perform shows when they are ready.

- What is an illusion and how to create one?
- Creating a character
- Creating a character voice
- How to do an voice with an accent
- Using a two person puppet
- Moving puppet mouth appropriately
- Stage skills such as lighting,sound effects, music. stage
set up and props

What kind of puppets
will the kids be using? |

Hi! I'm Suzie and I'm
a two person puppet! |

| We will generally be working with Big Mouth Kid and
Monster puppets. Until these puppets are purchased, we will be using
our Peeper Puppets. |
How much does it
cost to participate? |
| The cost of Peace Puppets is the same as all other
Faithweaver programs. |
Where does Peace
Puppets meet and at what time? |
| Peace Puppets meets every Wednsday evening at 6:00,
right after dinner . in the Mindanao classroom downstairs. |
Who will be the leaders
of the program? |
Cindy McLean will be there every week and Holly Bowen-Bailey
every other. To ensure a safe and effective program, we need 2 adults
at each Peace Puppet session, If your child is enrolled, we will
ask you to volunteer to help out on a rotational basis throughout
the year, particularly on those weeks that Holly will not be there.
The more parents who are willing to help, the fewer times every
one will be assigned.

| We need lots of things. Whatever items we can get will
allow us to use our money to buy really cool puppets. Here are just
