Please Don't Divorce Us

Ken Starr and the Prop 8 Legal Defense Fund filed legal briefs defending the constitutionality of Prop 8 and attempting to forcibly divorce 18,000 same-sex couples that were married in California last year.

The Supreme Court heard oral arguments on this case on March 5, 2009, with a decision expected within 90 days of that date. The Courage Campaign has created a video called "Fidelity," that puts a face to those 18,000 couples and all loving, committed couples seeking full equality under the law. You may watch that video here.

Open and Affirming CongregationOpen and Affirming

Peace Church is an open and affirming place for all of Gods children. Including those who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered. As a church we believe that God's love is available to all those that want it (Even if you don’t want it, God is there for you!).  If you want more information about Peace Church’s Open and Affirming position  UpNorth38@aol.com.

Peace church offers LGBT bible study and fellowship opportunities on an on-going basis!  These are times for LGBT people to grow together in their faith and enjoy each others company.  We do worship, bible study, we eat together and PLAY.  People of different faith walks come to Peace churches ONA activities with the common ground of growing in our faith, and meeting others with similar joys and struggles.

The Coalition of the United Church of Christ provides support and sanctuary to all our lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered sisters and brothers, their families and friends. Advocates for their full and inclusion in the church and society. Brings Christ's affirming message of love and justice for all people.

Evangelicals Concerned is a nationwide ministry of evangelical gay and lesbian Christians. EC is not a church, but a network of groups of friends whose primary purpose is to provide reconciliation, integration and opportunities for Christian growth for Christian lesbian and gays.  We are both pro-Christian and pro-gay."

Whosoever gives a first hand look at how LGBT Christians look at our world.  Every other month, Whosoever takes a look at issues affecting gay, lesbian and bisexual Christians, and how they can respond to the world with the love of Christ. This is among my favorite sites and is filled with original material

The purpose of christianlesbians.com is three-fold:

1. To proclaim the Good News of Jesus and God's unconditional and abiding love for all people.

2. To offer information and resources for those women who are presently struggling to reconcile their faith and sexuality and to let them know that God need not be forsaken simply because of their sexual orientation. God has definitely not forsaken you!

3. To create a circle of fellowship and support for Christian Lesbians, many of whom feel isolated by living in "the closet" or from having experienced rejection from family, friends and their own church community.
