This fall Pathways to Peace will focus on the theme Sacred Journeys. We will look at a variety of journeys that we are on as well as those of our friends and neighbors.
This volume Sacred Journeys Catalog Fall 2016 promotes events that focus primarily on homelessness, and on racial justice and reparation. We will delve into the care of those with memory loss, dementia, and Alzheimer’s as well as consider the needs of caregivers. We will watch a performance by people who have experienced homelessness, gaze at the stars with an astronomer, and travel on artists’ journeys as we reflect on a variety of pathways that raise these questions:
Who are our sisters and brothers who are living amongst us?
What are their stories?
How do they impact our lives, and how do we impact theirs?
How can we better know and care for others as well as for ourselves on this journey?
Where are places we can turn to for support and nourishment?
Can we become even more familiar with both the needs as well as the beauty that surrounds us?
How do we best make this sacred journey together?
All are invited. Please join us as we explore these questions though art, music, writing, performance, reading, conversations, and contemplative practices. As we share and listen to stories we may not have yet had the privilege to hear, may we learn the ways we can be of service to one another as we see this journey through.
