Thursdays in February–7-8:30 in the Fireside Room
Krista Tippet describes Walter Brueggemann as… “a kind of rock star in his universe of knowledge. He is one of the world’s great Christian teachers about the prophets who both anchor the Hebrew Bible and have transcended it in many places across history. His name has been synonymous with the phrase “prophetic imagination” for three decades of preachers and teachers.” Brueggemann himself refers to this brief book as the tipping point of his work. In a brief 130 or so pages, he introduces the tools that in the imaginations of the prophets produced the vision of a community that lives real justice, mercy, and love. Come enjoy the reflective, nurturing conversation. Books have been ordered and will be available in the church office.
