The service
is most often based on the Revised
Common Lectionary. Ever wonder why a friend of yours who
attends a different church may have heard a sermon based on
the same Bible passage as the one you heard? Many churches of
different denominations use the Lectionary where theoretically
in three years messages from the entire Bible will be heard.
